TSS The Super Series and SRO Join Forces to Accelerate Southeast Asian Motorsports to the Global Stage

The engines have roared, and the stage is set for a seismic shift in Southeast Asian motorsports! TSS The Super Series has officially joined forces with the globally renowned SRO Motorsports Group to launch a groundbreaking joint venture. This collaboration was first announced at the start of the year, sending shockwaves through the racing community. Now, with legal formalities advancing, the two powerhouse organizations are accelerating their mission to redefine the motorsports landscape in the region and beyond.

Laying the Groundwork for a New Era

Over the past few seasons, TSS The Super Series has firmly established itself as Southeast Asia’s premier national GT championship, attracting top-tier regional talent alongside world-class drivers. Now, with SRO’s expertise and international influence, the series is poised to ascend to new heights, delivering elite-level competition and world-class GT racing. The partnership between TSS and SRO is not just a handshake; it’s a full-throttle commitment to propelling TSS The Super Series onto the international stage. With a strategic alliance in place, the series is poised to cement itself as one of the most competitive and thrilling motorsport championships in the world. The legal framework for the new company is now in motion, setting the foundation for what promises to be an electrifying future.

SRO’s Balance of Performance (BoP) Introduced for 2025

As part of this partnership, TSS and SRO have agreed to implement SRO’s globally recognised Balance of Performance (BoP) regulations in the popular GT3 and GT4 categories. This ensures a level playing field for all competitors, reinforcing fairness, competition integrity, driver confidence and international credibility. With this innovation, the series promises edge-of-the-seat action, where talent and strategy will make the difference between victory and defeat.

A major technical shift for the 2025 season comes with the introduction of Pirelli as the official tyre supplier. This move aligns TSS The Super Series with SRO’s global championships, as Pirelli exclusively supplies tyres to SRO-run series worldwide, including GT World Challenge powered by AWS, GT2 European Series powered by Pirelli and all standalone GT4-licensed championships. Now, TSS The Super Series competitors will use the same race-proven supplier as their European, American, Australian and Asian counterparts.

Towards Global Recognition

This partnership with SRO Motorsports Group represents another pivotal milestone in the TSS The Super Series’ drive to internationalise the championship. Alongside returning to Buriram and the legendary Bangsaen street circuit, the series will maintain its key event in Malaysia, with a double-header scheduled at the Sepang International Circuit.

In recent years, the organisation has made significant strides in enhancing the series’ profile both domestically and on the global stage. All communications are produced in both Thai and English, ensuring broad accessibility. Moreover, each event is streamed live, with commentary available in Thai, English, Chinese and German, ensuring an inclusive experience for a diverse international audience.

Stéphane Ratel, SRO Motorsports Group Founder and CEO: “I am very happy to begin this new partnership with TSS The Super Series. SRO has made great strides in Asia over the past decade and this agreement further solidifies our position. We are delighted that TSS will adopt our Balance of Performance regulations, and it is very pleasing to see them forge a partnership with Pirelli, with whom SRO has worked closely for many years. I am sure that this marks the start of an exciting phase of development for TSS The Super Series.”

Sontaya Kunplome, The President of TSS: “Partnering with SRO marks a significant milestone for TSS The Super Series. While TSS is already established at an international level, this collaboration strengthens our competitive platform through SRO’s global standards, technical expertise, and proven Balance of Performance system, along with the Pirelli partnership. Moreover, this partnership opens exciting opportunities for regional talent to thrive globally. Together, SRO and TSS will also collaborate to organize and further develop motorsport across the Southeast Asia region, fostering growth and elevating the sport throughout the area.”
